Artist/Philosopher
Marcos Lutyens is a Los Angeles–based artist whose practice focuses on synesthesia and cross-sensory perception, exploring how sound, scent, touch, vision, and memory can merge into shared experiential states. Working through performance, hypnosis, olfactory sculpture, sound, and participatory ritual, he investigates how altered sensory awareness can generate empathy and collective imagination. His work has been presented at major museums and biennials including the Centre Pompidou, MoMA PS1, the Royal Academy of Arts, the Getty, and the Venice Biennale, and he has been featured as keynote artist at Culture Summit invited by the Guggenheim. Lutyens’ projects invite audiences to experience perception as fluid, relational, and transformative.
